Climate and Conservation Writer

I am a climate and conservation writer, and wildlife technician based in a small, forested community in British Columbia, Canada.

I spent my formative years growing up in a fishing village nestled in the Great Bear Rainforest. I was afforded little privacy in my small home with my five younger siblings, but my childhood backyard bled into the ever-damp woods behind me. There, amongst western redcedars, Sitka spruce trees, and skunk cabbage, I found solitude and, as an adult, I have come to realize how this easy access to nature was a privilege that has shaped and informed my life, my decisions, and my values.

I care about exposing environmental wrongs, celebrating conservation wins, and telling the personal stories in between that motivate others to do more or do better.
