In 2024, I completed a six-month journalism internship with Mongabay, a U.S.-based non-profit conservation and environmental science news platform. I was selected for the Mongabay internship in late December 2023.
During my internship, I wrote five stories on topics including Indigenous salmon reintroduction, African rhino conservation, and ecosystem recovery in coral reef systems. I developed skills in pitching, interviewing experts, and writing and editing with multiple editors to produce accurate, engaging journalism. I continue to freelance with Mongabay, contributing ongoing environmental reporting.
